RESOLUTION NO. 668
1 RESOLUTION OF THE EDMONDS CITY COUNCIL
COMMENDING ROBERT M. DODGE FOR
HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY AND SNOHOMISH COUNTY
WHEREAS, ROBERT M. DODGE, was elected Sheriff of Snohomish County on
September 28, 1977 and served from that date until December 31,
1987; and
WHEREAS, during his ten years as Sheriff, ROBERT M. DODGE willingly served
the people of Snohomish County being appointed to numerous
committees and commissions including the Washington State Criminal
Justice Training Committee and the Organized Crime Advisory Board.
Sheriff DODGE was President of the Washington Association of
Sheriffs and Police Chiefs, the Snohomish County Peace Officers
and the Snohomish County Police Chiefs and Law Enforcement
Association; and
.WHEREAS, Sheriff DODGE has actively promoted the welfare of the Snohomish
County community as illustrated by his participation on the
County DWI Task Force, the County Chamber of Commerce, the Board
for SNOCOM and SNOPAC, the Evergreen Council of the Boy Scouts,
the Edmonds Rotary, and as Chairman of the Jail and Bail
Cancer Drive and the Special Olympics; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the Edmonds City Council hereby resolves that Sheriff DODGE
be commended for his efforts and contributions to Snohomish County;
and
RESOLVES FURTHER that the City Council expresses its gratitude to Sheriff
DODGE for all his contributions to his own community, the City of
Edmonds, and wishes him all success in his future endeavors.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 12th day of January, 1988.
