RESOLUTION NO. 666
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, ENDORSING A SOUTH COUNTY
COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Cultural Arts, Stadium and Convention
District of South Snohomish County on August 26, 1987, voted to
place a proposal to construct a South County Arts Center on a
special election to be held May 3, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the CASCD Board adopted a scope of construction
of a 700 - 800 seat theater with an estimated 45,090 gross square
feet at an estimated cost of $7,600,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds Community College has made a
commitment to a 99 year lease of 10 acres at $1.00 a year and to
assume the maintenance and operating costs of such Center; NOW.
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. To endorse the above proposed South County
Community Arts Center.
