RESOLUTION NO. 637
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE PLAN FOR CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED
PROPERTY ALONG 238TH STREET S.W., TO CHANGE
ITS DESCRIPTION FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL
TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, INSTRUCTING THE
STAFF TO CONVEY CERTAIN COMMENTS AND RESERV-
ATIONS TO SNOHOMISH COUNTY AND INSTRUCTING
THE CITY CLERK TO FILE A COPY OF THIS
RESOLUTION WITH THE COUNTY AUDITOR
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Comprehensive Plan Map of the City of
Edmonds is hereby amended to change the designation of certain
property located along 238th Street S. W. between SR104 and
Highway 99, more particularly described and shown on attached
Exhibit A, incorporated by this reference as fully as if herein
set forth, from Low Density Residential to High Density
Residential.
Section 2. The staff is hereby directed to direct
comments to the Snohomish County Planning staff and County
Council during the course of any development review, including
but not limited to, a rezone application to express the Council's
concern that such proposal address mitigating measures designed
to eliminate or minimize impacts to the area arising from
increased traffic and population and to provide adequate
buffering to the adjacent residential neighborhood by providing
compatible building heights, design standards, appropriate
landscaping and other forms of buffering.
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to certify
copies of this Resolution and to forward one copy to the
Snohomish County Auditor for recording and one copy to the
Snohomish County Planning Department.
