RESOLUTION NO. 644
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, INITIATING THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF THE DEDICATED BUT UNBUILT RIGHT -
OF -WAY OF SIXTH AVENUE SOUTH, REFERRING SAID
VACATION FOR HEARING EXAMINER REVIEW AND
RESERVING TO THE CITY A UTILITY EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of dedicated, but
unbuilt, right -of -way for Sixth Avenue South, and
WHEREAS, said dedicated but unbuilt right -of -way is
excess to the needs of the City and has been removed from the
City's Official Street Map, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. In conformance with the provisions of Chapter 2070
Street Vacations of the Edmonds Community
Development Code, the vacation of a portion of
Sixth Avenue South, as shown and further described
on attached Exhibit A, said description being
incorporated by this reference as fully as if
herein set forth, is hereby initiated by the
resolution of the City Council.
2. In conformance with the provisions of said
chapter, this proposed vacation is hereby referred
to the Hearing Examiner of the City of Edmonds for
his /her review and recommendation in conformance
with the provisions of said Chapter. The Hearing
Examiner is directed to return his /her
recommendations to the City at the Hearing
Examiner's earliest convenience.
3. In said vacation and its consideration by the
City's Hearing Examiner, an easement for utility
purposes and maintenance thereof, on, under and
above said described right -of -way shall be
reserved by and to the City of Edmonds and its
franchisees.

quarter of the southwest quarter of Sec. 25, Township 27N, Rge 3
East, W.M., lying south of the following described portion:
That portion of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of
the southwest quarter of Section 25, Township 27 North, Range 3
East, W.M, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at
the northeast corner of the northeast quarter of the northwest
quarter of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of said

52 001'12 ", an arc distance of 13.62 feet, to the point of reverse
curve; thence southeasterly along the arc of a curve to the
right, having a radius of 50.00 feet, and consuming a central
angle of 142 °01'12 ", an arc distance of 123.94 feet; thence S
