RESOLUTION NO. 616
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, INITIATING THE VACATION
OF A PORTION OF THE DEDICATED BUT UNBUILT RIGHT -
OF -WAY OF NORTH MEADOWDALE ROAD AND REFERRING
SAID VACATION FOR HEARING EXAMINER REVIEW.
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of dedicated, but
unbuilt, right -of -way for North Meadowdale Road, and
WHEREAS, the right -of -way of said road as actually
built is not in conformance with said dedicated right -of -way but
rather has been obtained through prescription,
WHEREAS, said dedicated but unbuilt right -of -way is
excess to the needs of the City and that other right -of -way in
the immediate vicinity is required by the City for its as
constructed North Meadowdale Road, now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. In conformance with the provisions of Chapter 20.70
Street Vacations of the Edmonds Community
Development Code, the vacation of a portion of
North Meadowdale Road, as shown and further
described on attached Exhibit A, said description
being incorporated by this reference as fully as if
herein set forth, is hereby initiated by the
resolution of the City Council.
2. In conformance with the provisions of said Chapter,
this proposed vacation is hereby referred to the
Hearing Examiner of the City of Edmonds for his /her
review and recommendation in conformance with the
provisions of said Chapter. The Hearing Examiner
is directed to return his /her recommendations to
the City at the Hearing Examiner's earliest
convenience.

MEADOWDALE BEACH as recorded in Volume 5 of plats,. page 38,
records of Snohomish County, Washington, described as follows:
COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of the Southwest 1/4
of Section 5, Township 27 North, Range 4 East, W.M., Snohomish
County, Washington; thence N89 33'51 "W along the South line of
said subdivision 631.28 feet to the West right of way margin of
said MEADOWDALE ROAD thence S10391191W along said margin 20.00
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence S89 33151 "E 40.01 feet;
thence N1 039119 "E along the East right of way margin 217.40 feet
to a point on the arc of a curve to the left from which the center
bears S26941115 "W 105.00 feet distant; thence Westerly along
said curve through a central angle of 20 031149" an arc distance
of 37.62 feet to a point of compound curvature and the beginning
of a curve to the left having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence
Westerly along said curve through a central angle of 14.28128" an
arc distance of 6.32 feet to the said Westerly right of way margin
of MEADOWDALE ROAD: thence S21�22141 "E along said line 6.33 feet
to an angle point in said line; thence S1 39119 "W along said
