RESOLUTION NO. 617
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN
THE STATE OF WASHINGTON EMPLOYEE'S DEFERRED
COMPENSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds Deferred Compensation Plan
was formed in accordance with Resolution No. 561 on July 12,
1983; and
WHEREAS, the Committee for Deferred Compensation in
accordance with RCW 41.04.250; administers the deferred
compensation plan for the employees of the State of Washington as
outlined in WAC 154; and
WHEREAS, RCW 41.04.250 permits Counties, Municipalities
and other political subdivisions to participate in the State of
Washington Employee's Deferred Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds has reviewed the State
plan and agrees to accept all terms and conditions of the State
plan as established and as hereafter amended; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds understands and agrees
that all monies deferred by its employees remain the property of
the City of Edmonds, now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Edmonds requests approval by the
Committee for Deferred Compensation to participate in the
aforementioned deferred compensation plan for the employees of
the City of Edmonds, subject to the requirements of RCW 41.04.250
and WAC 154.
