RESOLUTION NO. 623
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN
THE STATE OF WASHINGTON EMPLOYEES DEFERRED COMP-
ENSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 617 of the Edmonds City
Council approved participation in the State of Washington
Employees Deferred Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Committee for Deferred Compensation has
requested that the City supply a corrected resolution which
refers to the date of incorporation of the City of Edmonds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds was incorporated in 1890
in accordance with existing statute and currently exists as a
alternative code city in accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 35A, Revised Code of Washington; and
WHEREAS, the Committee for Deferred Compensation in
accordance with RCW 41.04.250 administers the Deferred
Compensation Plan for the Employees of the State of Washington as
outlined in WAC 154; and
WHEREAS, RCW 41.04.250 permits counties, municipalities
and other political subdivisions to participate in the State of
Washington Employees Deferred Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds has reviewed the State
plan, and has previously agreed and agrees to accept all terms
and conditions of the State plan as established and is hereafter
amended; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds understands and agrees
that all money is deferred by its employees remain the property
of the City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Edmonds requests approval by the
Committee for Deferred Compensation to participate in the
aforementioned deferred compensation plan for the employees of
the City of Edmonds, subject to the requirements of RCW 41.04.250
and WAC 154. This request for approval shall be deemed made in
accordance with the original passage of Resolution 617 and its
enactment on May 21, 1985.
