A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, TRANSFERRING THE
AMOUNT OF $16,149 FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY
FUND NO. 119 TO THE GENERAL FUND NO. 0011
DEPARTMENT NO. 620 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUND-
ING TEMPORARY PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council enacted Ordinance No. 2343
on January 4, 1983 authorizing creation of a temporary public
service project program, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance the Mayor has
submitted a proposal for three temporary public service projects
to be performed costing a total of $16,149.60, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that expenditures of
these funds would be in the best interest of the public health,
safety and general welfare and that these expenditures could not
reasonably have been foreseen at the time of passage of the
1983 budget, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sum of $16,149.60 is hereby transferred
from the Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to the General Fund
No. 001, Department No. 620 for the purpose of funding the
temporary public service projects as set forth in the memo dated
January 7, 1983 from the Mayor to the City Council.
Section 2. The finance director is hereby authorized
to take all necessary steps in order to effectuate the transfer,
pursuant to this resolution.
