RESOLUTION NO. 517
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON ENDORSING THE
199.0 TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR THE SNOHOMISH
SUBREGION.
WHEREAS, the Snohomish Subregional Council has con-
ducted a study of transportation problems in the urbanized
part of Snohomish County, considering the expected growth
in population and employment, the expected growth in travel,
and the needed highway, transit, and bikeway improvements to
meet such travel needs, and
WHEREAS, the recommendations and findings of that
study are described in the 1990 Transportation Plan for the
Snohomish Subregion, adopted in June, 1981, by the Snohomish
Subregional Council, and
WHEREAS, the study was funded in part by the City
of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, the Snohomish Subregional Council, in its
action to adopt the study, encouraged each participating
jurisdiction and agency to adopt the study as its own basic
transportation plan,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
hereby resolves to endorse the 1990 Transportation Plan pre-
pared for southwest Snohomish County; and

FURTHER, to use the plan's recommendations as a
guide when preparing the plans, programs and projects; and

FURTHER, to program, consistent with financial
resources and local priorities, recommended improvements
contained within the plan into the annual element of the
Transportation Improvement Program and six -year road im-
provement program.
