RESOLUTION NO. 524
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, COMMENDING SENATOR SUE GOULD AND
REPRESENTATIVE GARY NELSON FOR THEIR SER-
VICE TO THE CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a
community award public recognition for outstanding public
service rendered by its representatives in ,-the state legisla-
ture, and
WHEREAS, Senator Sue Gould and Representative Gary
Nelson worked long and hard and gave their full, invaluable
support and expertise to ensure the passage of Engrossed
Senate Bill 4972 providing needed revenue sources to the City
of Edmonds while at the same time providing the needed equal-
ization of revenue amongst the various jurisdictions in the
state, and
WHEREAS, a grateful City Council deems it fitting
that commendation be issued and that said commendation should
be a part of the permanent records of the City of Edmonds,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that Senator Sue Gould and Representa-
tive Gary Nelson are hereby commended for their civic spirit
and services given in behalf of the Edmonds community.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolu-
tion be furnished to Senator Sue Gould and Representative
Gary Nelson and that an additional copy be entered in the
permanent records of the City in order that the citizens be
forever aware of the valuable contribution Senator Sue Gould
and Representative Gary Nelson have made to the City of
Edmonds and its citizens.
