RESOLUTION NO. 514
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, COMMENDING
THE UNION OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA FOR
ITS GIFT TO THE CITY OF EDMONDS AND THE
CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a community award-
public recognition for outstanding public service rendered by
businesses and corporations, and
WHEREAS, The Union Oil Company of California has
demonstrated great civic spirit by making a gift of what is
commonly known as the Union Oil Marsh to the City, and
WHEREAS, a grateful City Council deems it fitting
that a commendation be issued and that said commendation
should be a part of the permanent records of the City of
Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that The Union Oil Company of California
is hereby commended for civic spirit in the Edmonds community
which it has demonstrated by its gift of the Union Oil Marsh
to the City of Edmonds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolu-
tion be furnished to the Union Oil Company of California and
that an additional copy be entered in the permanent records
of this City in order that the citizens be forever aware of

has made to the City of Edmonds and its citizens.
