A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM THE COUNCIL
CONTINGENCY FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR
PURPOSES OF IMPLEMENTING THE SALARY IN-
CREASES MADE FOR CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the personnel committee of the City Council
made a study of current salary structure for department heads and
certain departmental assistants and concluded that adjustments were
necessary in order to retain quality City personnel, which adjust -
ments were not foreseen at the time of preparation and adoption of
the 1980 'budget, and,;
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2137 adopted by the City
Council May 6, 1980, specified salaries were increased as further
set fot•th therein, and
WHEREAS, in order to make funds available from the appro-
priate budgeted item, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section .1. The sum of $13, 920. 00 ' is hereby transferred
from the Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to the General Fund
No. 001, Department No. 100, for the purpose of funding the spe-
cified salary increases authorized by Ordinance No. 2137 to the
following departments for expenditure within the 1980 budget:

The Finance Director is hereby
authorized to
