Resolution 421RESOLUTION NO. 421 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, COMMENDING CLINTON F. GRAY FOR SERVICES TO THE CITY AND CITIZENS THEREOF. WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desireable that a community award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered by individual citizens, and WHEREAS, Clinton F. Gray has for more than 31,7) years served the citizens of the City of Edmonds as a member of the Edmonds Fire Department, and WHEREAS, as a result of his diligent effort and effective performance he was elected by his peers to the position of Captain, a rank which he retained until his retirement from the Fire Department on December 8, 1978, and WHEREAS, Clinton F. Gray has throughout his tenure with the Edmonds Fire Department demonstrated the quality of dependability and provided excellent and effective - service, and WHEREAS, Clinton F. Gray has served as an officer of the Firefighters Association in each of the Associations elected offices and has served on many of that Association's committees, and WHEREAS, it is fitting that a commendation should be issued for the time and effort so spent by Clinton F. Gray in the service of the citizens of the City of Edmonds, Washington, and that such commendation should be made a part of the permanent records of said City, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that Clinton F. Gray be and is hereby commended for his more than 37} years of dependable and effective service to the City of Edmonds and the citizens thereof as a member of the Fire Department of said City, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be furnished to Clinton F. Gray and that an additional copy be entered in the permanent records of the City in order that the citizens be forever aware of the contribution of Clinton F. Gray 'to the City of Edmonds and its citizens. RESOLVED by the City Council this 16th day of January, 1979. APPROVED: MAYOR, H. H.
