A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUND
NO. 119 TO GENERAL FUND NO. 001, DEPARTMENT NOS.
100 AND 830 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONVERTING FUNDING
FOR CITY POSITIONS FROM CETA FUNDING TO CITY
FUNDING.
WHEREAS, after the adoption of the 1979 Budget,
the Federal government retroactively reduced the level of
funds available under the Comprehensive Employment Training
Act thus requiring the City to provide its own funds for
positions previously funded by.CETA, and
WHEREAS, certain employees of the City whose jobs,
were funded through CETA have demonstrated their proficiency
and good service to the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it
would be in the best interest of the City to retain these
employees and that funding should come from the Council
Contingency Fund, and
WHEREAS, the expenditures set forth below could not
be reasonably anticipated at the time of the 1979 Budget, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sum of $14,399.00 is hereby transfered
from Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to General Fund No. 001,
Department No. 100 for the purpose of funding a clerk - stenographer

position and a clerk- typist position.
Section 2. The sum of $15,575.00 is hereby transfered
from Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to General Fund No. 001,
Department No..830 for the purpose of funding. two general
laborer positions.
Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized
to take all necessary steps in order to effectuate the transfer
pursuant to this Resolution.
