A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUND
NO. 119 TO GENERAL FUND NO. 001, DEPARTMENT NO.
730 FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMPILING AN INVENTORY
OF EXISTING AND POTENTIAL RECREATION SPACES;
AND TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM THE PARKS ACQUISI-
TION AND DEVELOPMENT FUND NO. 125 TO THE COUNCIL
CONTINGENCY FUND FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF MONIES
PREVIOUSLY TRANSFERED TO PAY FOR PAVING OF A
PORTION OF UNION OIL BEACH.
WHEREAS, the City Council has transferred monies from
the Council Contingency Fund to pay for paving a portion of Union
Oil Beach for parking, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that funds
for this purpose should be expended from the Parks Acquisition
and Development Fund-No. 125, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds together with the cities
of Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood, Snohomish County, the Edmonds
School District and the Edmonds. Community College have undertaken
a study of the existing and potential recreation areas within
their respective jurisdictions, and
WHEREAS, the sum of $1,641.00 represents Edmonds con-
tribution for the expenses of this inventory, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
in the best interest of the public that such an expenditure
be made, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The sum of $4,204.00 is hereby transfered
from the Parks Acquisition and Development Fund No. 125 to the
Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to reimburse said fund for monies
previously transfered to pay the costs of paving a portion of
Union Oil Beach for parking.
Section 2. The sum of $1,641.00 is hereby transfered
from Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to the General Fund No.
001, Department No. 730.for the purpose of paying the City's
share of an inventory of existing and potential recreation
areas.
Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized
to take all necessary steps to effectuate the transfers pursuant
to this Resolution.
