RESOLUTION NO. 450
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, CONTINUING THE HEARING
DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF THE MEADOWDALE AREA
MORATORIUM TO NOVEMBER 6, 1979.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 428 passed by the City Council
on February 27, 1979, the City Council imposed a moratorium on
issuance of building permits and approvals of planned residential
developments, subdivisions and short subdivisions in the Meadowdale
area of Edmonds and directed that the City Engineer conduct a study
to prevent and /or minimize the slide hazards in the area, and
WHEREAS, the City has contracted with Roger Lowe:-Associates,
Inc., to prepare an engineering /geological study of the Meadowdale
slide area, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 428 had directed that the matter
be discussed at the October 16, 1979, City Council meeting, and
WHEREAS, the geological and engineering study from Roger
Lowe has taken longer than expected to prepare and therefore will
not be available for Council consideration on October 16, 1979,
and
WHEREAS, the report from Roger Lowe Associates, Inc.,
should be prepared in time for Council consideration at the
November 6, 1979,-,.City Council meeting, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The review of the continuing necessity for
the moratorium imposed by Resolution No. 428 is hereby continued

to November 6., 1979, and the City Clerk is directed to place
this matter on the November 6, 1979, agenda for Council consi-
deration.
