A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION
MANAGER TO SIGN CONTRACTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
FOR RECREATION CLASS INSTRUCTORS.
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Division frequently
is in need of hiring recreation class instructors for the various
Parks and Recreation programs provided by the City, and
WHEREAS, these instructors are ordinarily hired for
only 2 to 80 hours by the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that there is
a need to delegate authority to execute agreements for these
recreation class instructors subject to the limits as set forth
herein, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Parks and Recreation Division Manager
is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, agreements for persons to teach recreation classes
for the City in connection with authorized programs; provided,
however, that all such agreements have been approved as to form
by the City Attorney and provided further that no such agreement
shall exceed a term of six months in duration nor shall payment
be in excess of $500.00.

Section 2. This authorization shall continue in full
force and effect until revoked or otherwise amended by the City
Council.
