RESOLUTION NO. 397
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY FUND NO. 119
TO GENERAL FUND 001, DIVISION 12, PARKS AND
RECREATION DIVISION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING FOR
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE UNDERWATER PARK LOCATED AT
BRACKETTS LANDING AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING
20 ADDITIONAL COPIES OF A SPACE NEEDS STUDY PREPARED
BY L. A. BAILEY AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE CITY.
WHEREAS, since the time of passage of the 1978 budget,
the City Council has determined it to be in the best interest
of the City to make certain improvements recommended by the
Scuba Safety Committee at the Underwater Park at Bracketts
Landing, and
WHEREAS, the need for these improvements was not known
or reasonably foreseeable at the time of adoption of the
1978 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City has previously contracted with the
firm of L. A. Bailey and Associates to conduct a space needs
and architectural study of the Edmonds Elementary school,
and
WHEREAS, additional copies of this report are necessary
in order to inform the public of the results of the study,
and
WHEREAS, the need for the extra copies of this report
were not known or reasonably foreseeable at the time of
adoption of the 1978 budget, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sum of Three Thousand Dollars
($3,000.00) is hereby transferred from Contingency Fund No.

119 to General Fund No. 001, Division 12, Parks and Recreation
Division, to pay the costs of constructing certain improvements
recommended by the Scuba Safety Committee at the Underwater
Park at Bracketts Landing.
Section 2. The sum of Sixty Dollars ($60.00) is
hereby transferred from Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to
General Fund No. 001, Division 12, Parks and Recreation
Division for the purpose of paying for 20 additional copies
of the space needs and architectural study of the Edmonds
Elementary School prepared by L. A. Bailey and Associates.
Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized
to take all steps necessary to effectuate 'the transfers
pursuant to the provisions of this Resolution.
