Resolution 406RESOLUTION NO. 406 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, STATING ITS INTENT TO PARTICIPATE WITH THE CITY OF LYNNWOOD AND THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTA- TION IN THE DESIGN COST OF INTERCONNECTION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON HIGHWAY 99 FROM 212TH STREET S.W. TO 238TH STREET S.W. WHEREAS, the interconnect of the traffic signals on Highway 99 will increase capacity and provide for more even traffic flow during peak periods, and WHEREAS, four (4) of the signalized intersections or portions thereof are located in the City of Edmonds, and WHEREAS, the City of Lynnwood has a design contract to which by change order it would be economical and timely to include the signals on Highway 99 from 212th Street S.W. to 238th Street S.W., now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City of Edmonds agrees to participate with the City of Lynnwood and the Washington State Department of Transportation in the amount of $10,000 for the design of the interconnection of traffic signals on Highway 99, based upon the following prorations: 212th St. S.W. - 50% Edmonds, 50% Lynnwood. 220th St. S.W. - 50% Edmonds, 50% WSDOT. 224th St. S.W. - 100% Edmonds. 238th St. S.W. - 50% Edmonds, 50% WSDOT. 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into the necessary FAM, City of Lynnwood, and Washington State Department of Transportation agreements to accomplish the purposes set forth in this resolution, based upon a cash flow of $10,000 occurring in early 1979.
