A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
TRANSFERRING FROM THE CONTINGENCY FUND NO. 119
TO THE GENERAL FUND NO. 001, EXECUTIVE DEPART-
MENT NO. 002, THE SUM OF $1,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DEFRAYING MOVING EXPENSES FOR THE NEWLY HIRED
MAYOR'S ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT.
WHEREAS, a new Mayor's Administrative Assistant
has been selected, and
WHEREAS, he presently resides in the State of
California and will incur substantial expenses in
moving to his new position with the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in
the public interest to provide additional compensation to
the new Mayor's Administrative Assistant to ensure the
ability of the City to obtain qualified persons for the
Mayor's Administrative Assistant position, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1977
Budget it would not reasonably foreseeable that it would
be necessary to replace the Mayor's Administrative Assi-
stant, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sum of $1,000 is hereby transferred
from the Contingency Fund No. 119 to the General Fund No.
001, Executive Department No. 002, to compensate the new
Mayor's Administrative Assistant to help defray his costs
of relocation to his new position of employment with
the City of Edmonds.
Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby author-
ized and directed to take all necessary steps in order
to effectuate the transfer pursuant to section 1 of
this Resolution.
