A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $200.00 FROM CONTINGENCY
FUND NO. 119 TO GENERAL FUND 001, DEPARTMENT 001
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING RETAINER FOR OUT OF
STATE ATTORNEY TO COLLECT A JUDGMENT.
WHEREAS, the City has a judgment in the amount of
$20,211.75 against Christie Hordyk, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hordyk is now a resident of California
and the City Council has authorized the City Attorney's
office to retain local California counsel to enforce the
judgment, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney's office has retained local
counsel who will need a retainer of $200.00 to cover costs
of enforcing the judgment, and
WHEREAS, the necessity of this expenditure could not
be reasonably anticipated at the time of the passage of the
1977 Budget, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00)
is hereby transferred from Contingency Fund No. 119 to the
General Fund No. 001, Department No. 001 to pay for the
retainer of California counsel.
Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby authorized

and directed to take all necessary steps in order to effectuate
the transfer pursuant to Section 1 of this Resolution.
