A RESOLUTION OF TIff CITY COUNCIL OF Tiff CITY OF EDMONDS
APPROVING A LITTER CONTROL ENFORCE1,1ENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the State of Washington Department of Ecology has
made funding available for a Litter Control Enforcement Program for
Southwest County, and
WHEREAS, the Southwest Snohomish County Communications Agency,
SNO -COM has agreed to administer such program, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds finds the
establishment of a program that has as its singular priority that of
Litter Control Enforcement which will serve the citizens of the City of
Edmonds and its surrounding communities, to lessen the blight of indis-
criminate littering by public education, improved posting and by arrest
of violators, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
that the proposal and program of litter enforcement as funded by the
Washington State Department of Ecology is hereby accepted, supported and
approved by the City of Edmonds.
