Resolution 353RESOLUTION NO. 353 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, COMMENDING NATALIE SHIPPEN,; FOR HER SERVICES TO SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF. WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered by- .individual citizens, and WHEREAS, said NATALIE SHIPPEN has diligently served the City of Edmonds and.the citizens thereof for nearly a decade, first as a member of the City Planning Commission from July 5, 1966 up to the time of her election to a position on the Edmonds City Council in 19.71 where she served until January of 1976, and WHEREAS, said NATALIE 5HT.PPHN was held in high esteem by her fellow Councilmembers and worked diligently and tirelessly during her term of office as a member of the City Council as evidenced by her service and acting as a representative of the City to the Senior Center Building Committee, Snohomish County Solid Waste Steering Committee, Snohomish County Health District, as the council liaison to the Park Board and her election by her fellow Councilmembers to the position of Mayor Pro Tem for the year 1973, and WHEREAS, during the time so spent by said NATALIE SHIIPPEN she has devoted hereself. unselfishly to the spirit of bettering the community which she has served, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and efforts so spent by said NATALIE SHIPPEN and that said commendation should be made a part of the permanent records of said City of Edmonds, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that said NATALIE : SHIPPEN be and is hereby commended for her unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens thereof and for her guidance for the future and better development of said City, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to said NATALIE SHIPPEN and an additional copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect in which NATALIE SHIPPEN has been, is and will be held forevermore.
