A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
COMMENDING NORMA BRUNS FOR HER SERVICES TO SAID
CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community
award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered
by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, said NORMA BRUNS has diligently served the City of
Edmonds and the citizens thereof for over five years which service
included serving as a member of the City Planning Commission from
October 6, 1970 to December 17, 1974, and
WHEREAS, said NORMA BRUNS was appointed on December 17, 1974,
by the Members of the City Council to serve as a member of said
Council for the unexpired term of a vacated Council position until
the next municipal election scheduled for the Fall of 1975, and
WHEREAS, said NORMA BRUNS served diligently and tirelessly as
a member of said City Council until January 13, 1976, at which time
her successor was sworn into office, and
WHEREAS, during the time so spent by said NORMA BRUNS she
devoted herself unselfishly to the spirit of bettering the community,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and the
officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting that a
commendation should be issued herewith for the time and effort
so spent by NORMA BRUNS and that said commendation should be
made a part of the permanent records of said City of Edmonds,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that NORMA BRUNS be and is hereby commended for her
unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens
thereof and for her guidance for the future and better develop-
ment of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the said NORMA BRUNS and an additional copy be
entered in the permanent records of this City in order that
the citizens be.forever aware of the high esteem and respect
in which NORMA BRUNS has been, is and will be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 3rd day of February, 1976.
