A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
STATING THE INTENTION OF SAID CITY TO APPLY TO THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRA-
TION, FOR AN OPERATING ASSISTANCE GRANT FOR CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC
TRANSIT FOR 1976 TO SERVICE THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, AS
AUTHORIZED UNDER SECTION 5 OF THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ACT OF
1964, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds has heretofore indicated its intent to apply
to the United States Department of Transportation, Urban Mass Transportation
Administration, for an operating assistance grant of $5,000.00 under Section 5
of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that it is in
the best interests of the City to make application to the Department of Trans-
portation, Urban Mass Transportation Administration, for an operating assis-
tance grant as herein provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
That the Mayor or his authorized agent is authorized and directed to
prepare and submit to the Department of Transportation a grant application
for an operating assistance grant of $5,000.00 and that the Mayor of the City
of Edmonds is hereby authorized to provide to the department all required
letters, documents, instruments, certificates and assurances as may be
necessary to implement the aforementioned grant application.
