A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DETERMINING THAT THE BEST INTERESTS AND GENERAL
HEALTH AND WELFARE OF SAID CITY WILL BE SERVED BY
THE A14NEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY
CONTIGUOUS TO SUCH CITY; DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES
THEREOF; STATING THE NUMBER OF VOTERS THEREIN; AND
SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON SAID RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, has been
requested to annex certain unincorporated areas within Snohomish
County contiguous to the City of Edmonds and more particularly
described in Exhibit "A ", a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by this reference as if set forth in full, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Edmonds finds that
said unincorporated territory contains less than 100 acres and
has at least 80% of its boundaries contiguous to the City of
Edmonds, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Edmonds finds that
the best interests and the general health and welfare of the
city would be served by annexing said unincorporated territory,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is hereby determined by the City Council of
the City of Edmonds, that the best interests and the general
health and welfare of the City of Edmonds, Washington, and the
area herein proposed to be annexed, would be served by the
annexation of the unincorporated territory contiguous to said

city. The boundaries of the area proposed for annexation are
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated as if set forth in full.
Section 2. The number of. voters residing in said area
proposed to be annexed as nearly as may be determined is stated
to be 42
Section 3. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing
will be held July 27, 1976 at 7.:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers,
Civic Center, Edmonds, Washington, at which time and place all
interested persons are invited to speak for or against the
annexation of said unincorporated territory.
Section 4. Notice of the hearing shall be given by public-
ation of .this resolution once a week for two weeks prior to said
date in the Edmonds Tribune Review, a newspaper of general
circulation within Edmonds and within the area to be annexed.
