Resolution 362RESOLUTION NO. 362 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, COMMENDING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TASK FORCE AND MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT FOR SERVICES TO SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF. WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a com- munity award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered by individual citizens, and WHEREAS, as a result of the extensive and prolonged effort of the Community Development Task Force and the Planning Department the City has been unanimously selected from a multitude of cities who submitted entries on a nation- wide basis for the third annual Quality of Life Award Program sponsored by the Environment Monthly as one of twelve cities nation -wide to receive special recognition in the "citizens action" category as a result of the collective effort to obtain citizen participation in development and adoption of the Edmonds "Comprehensive Policy Plan ", and WHEREAS, as a result of the dedication, devotion, and service without financial remuneration with the spirit of bettering the community the Community Development Task Force with the aid and direction of the Planning Department has brought national recognition to the City of Edmonds, and WHEREAS, it is fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and effort so spent by the Community Development Task Force and the members of the Planning Department for the results of their efforts and that said commendation should be made a part of the permanent records of said city, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that the Community Development Task Force and the members of the Planning Department be and are hereby commended for their unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens thereof and for their guidance for the future and better development of said City, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to each member of the Community Development Task Force and the Planning Department and that an additional copy be entered in the permanent records of the City in order that the citizens be forever aware of the contributions of said persons to the City of Edmonds and its citizens.
