A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, COMMENDING THE EDMONDS LIONS
CLUB FOR THEIR SERVICES TO SAID CITY AND THE
CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community
award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered
by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, the EDMONDS LIONS CLUB has for many years unsel-
fishly devoted its time, money and effort to the improvement of
the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, as a result of this dedication and devotion to
community affairs the EDMONDS LIONS CLUB in cooperation with
the Edmonds Park Department has built a "Park for the Blind"
in Sierra Park, and
WHEREAS, by this display of foresight and leadership this
"Park for the Blind" will prove to be of incalculable benefit'
to the blind citizens of Edmonds as well as those citizens
with sight, and
WHEREAS, a grateful City Council deems it appropriate that
a commendation should be issued to the EDMONDS LIONS CLUB for
its time, money and effort spent to construct this "Park for
the Blind" and that said commendation should be made a part
of the permanent records of the City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that the EDMONDS LIONS CLUB is to be hereby commended
for building the "Park for the Blind" and be it further resolved
that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to said EDMONDS LIONS
CLUB and an additional copy be entered in the permanent records
of this City in order that the citizens be forever aware of the
valuable contributions the EDMONDS LIONS CLUB has made to the
City of Edmonds and its citizens.
