A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FOR PAVEMENT
MARKING DEMONSTRATION PROJECT PURSUANT TO FEDERAL
AID PROJECT NUMBER PMS OOOS (21), UNDER PROVISIONS
OF TITLE 23.
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Safety Act, Section 205, provided
for a Pavement Marking Demonstration Program to avoid hazardous
highway conditions that may result from inadequate or inappropriate
pavement markings, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds, for the health, safety and welfare
of the residents, has submitted for consideration under the Federal
Highway Safety Act a Project Prospectus for corrective action, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds has received a Pavement Marking
Demonstration Project to make pavement markings in accordance with
the "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices ", and
WHEREAS, the Pavement Marking Demonstration Project requires
that the City further stipulate that, pursuant to Title 23 regulations,
policies and procedures and as a condition to payment of Federal Funds
obligated, it accepts and will comply with the applicable conditions
set forth under Project Number PMS OOOS (21), now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor is authorized to accept the Grant pursuant to the
provisions under Title 23.
