RESOLUTION NO. 371
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF UP
TO TWO THOUSAND AND N01100 DOLLARS FROM THE CON-
TINGENCY FUND q'0. 119 TO THE LIBRARY FUND NO.
104, DEPARTMENT 10 FOR THE PURPOSE OF I- -NFSTT.LLING
A SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEM IN THE EDMONDS PUBLIC
LIBRARY IN CONJUNCTION WITH PRESENT REMODELLING
CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, at the time of the budget deliberations and
final budget hearings a study was being conducted with respect
to whether or not a smoke detection system should be installed
in the existing library facility, and
WHEREAS, said feasibility study together with the type of
system and the estimated cost of the same was not completed
nor the information available to the Edmonds City Council prior
to the finalization of the 1976 budget, and
WHEREAS, as a result of said study the City Council has
determined that a smoke detection system should be installed
in the existing library facility in conjunction with remodelling
construction planned for the budget year 1976, now, therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sum of up to $2,000.00 is hereby authorized
to be transferred from the Contingency Fund No. 119 to the Library
Fund No. 104, Department 10 for the purpose of installation of a
smoke detection system in the existing library facility.

Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby instructed to
make the necessary transfer pursuant to Section 1 of this
Resolution.
