A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF FIVE
HUNDRED DOLLARS FROM THE CONTINGENCY FUND NO. 119
TO THE GENERAL FUND NO. 001 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
THE PRESERVATION AND PRINTING OF THE EARLY HISTORY
OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds has been designated as a
Bicentennial City by the American Revolution Bicentennial Adminis-
tration, and
WHEREAS, such designation took place in the latter part
of December 1974, after finalization of the City Budget for the
year 1975, and
WHEREAS, no funds have been budgeted in the 1975 Budget
for bicentennial celebration purposes, and
WHEREAS, that certain non - .profit organization known as
Coterie has assimilated the early history of the City of Edmonds,
and
WHEREAS, the preservation and publication of said historical
information is hereby declared to be a public purpose and in the
public interest of the City and its citizens, now, therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby transferred from the Contingency
Fund, Fund No. 119 to the General Fund, Fund No. 001, Department
34- 1776 -1976 Bicentennial Department, the sum of $500.00 to be
used for the preservation of historical material including the
publication of the early history of the City of Edmonds pursuant
to applicable laws of the State of Washington including, but not
limited to RCW Chapter 35A.27.
Section 2. The Acting Finance Director is hereby instructed
to make the necessary transfers pursuant to Section 1 of this
resolution.
