A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
COMMENDING THE PRINCIPAL, SECRETARY AND STAFF
OF THE EDMONDS JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE SERVICES
OF SAID PERSONS TO THE CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community
award public recognition for outstanding public service
rendered by individuals, and
WHEREAS, the PRINCIPAL, SECRETARY and STAFF of Edmonds
Junior High School have cooperated, assisted and coordinated
in the furtherance of the Recreation Program of the City of
Edmonds for over a decade, and
WHEREAS, without such spirit of cooperation in scheduling,,
making facilities available, and in numerous instances evidencing
a high spirit of dedication to their profession and to public
service, the success of the Edmonds Recreation Program utilizing
said Junior High School facilities would have been severely impeded
and the effectiveness thereby diminished, and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds School District has announced the
closing of the Edmonds Junior High School facility which will
have the necessary effect of disbanding the fine group of people
who have so unselfishly given of themselves to the City and its
citizens, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds and the
officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting that
a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and effort
and unwaivering dedicated services and spirit of cooperation by the
PRINCIPAL, SECRETARY and STAFF of the Edmonds Junior High School
for the benefit of the City and its citizens and that said
commendation should be made a part of the permanent records of
said City, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that the PRINCIPAL, SECRETARY and STAFF of the Edmonds
Junior High School be and are hereby commended for their unselfish
dedication and spirit of cooperation that they have displayed and
given to the City of Edmonds and its citizens, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the persons commended herein and an additional copy
be entered in the permanent records of this City, in order that
the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect
in which the persons honored herein have been and will be held
forever more.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 10th day of June, 1975.
