Resolution 349RESOLUTION NO. 349 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON TO ANNEX BY ORDINANCE PORTIONS OF ROADS SITUATED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY WHICH ARE CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS AND SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING OF SAID INTENTION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington, for strictly municipal purposes, find it in the public interest for the purpose of maintenance of utilities and entrance identification the following described property should be annexed to the City of Edmonds and that a public hearing should be called to hear arguments for and against said intention, and WHEREAS, said rights -of -way proposed to be annexed are located in Snohomish County, Washington, and the Board of County Commissioners for Snohomish County, Washington, have executed and filed with the City a petition for annexation to the City of Edmonds a notice of intention to commence annexa- tion proceedings, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON: Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Edmonds to extend its corporate limits to include the following described parcels of property all being portions of right -of -way situate in Snohomish County and which are contiguous to the existing corporate limits of the City of Edmonds which parcels are legally described as follows: A portion of State Route 104 Parcel A: That portion of the East 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 26, Township 27 North, Range 3 East, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the westerly Edmonds City Limits, said point being the NE .corner of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 26; thence westerly along the north line of Section 26, said north line being the northerly Edmonds City Limits to a point 175.00 feet westerly of the east line of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 26, said line being the westerly Edmonds City Limits; thence southerly and parallel to the westerly Edmonds City Limits 893 feet plus or minus; thence southwesterly 344.56 feet to a point being 244..33 feet westerly of said westerly Edmonds City Limits; thence southerly and parallel to the westerly Edmonds City Limits to its intersection with the northerly Woodway City Limits; thence easterly along said Woodway City Limits to the westerly Edmonds City Limits; thence northerly along said westerly Edmonds City Limits to the Point of Beginning. Parcel B: That portion of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 25, Township 27 North, Range .3 East, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the northwesterly Edmonds City Limits, said point being the NE corner .of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4, Section 25; thence westerly along the north Edmonds City Limits 155.00 feet; thence southerly parallel to the westerly Edmonds City Limits 30.00 feet; thence easterly parallel to the northerly City Limits 95.00 feet; thence southeasterly to a point on the westerly Edmonds City Limits; thence northerly along the westerly City Limits 51.13 feet more or less to the Point of Beginning. Parcel C: That portion of the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 36, Township 27 North, Range 3 East, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly Edmonds City Limits and the northerly Edmonds City Limits on the north line of Section 36 thence westerly along said northerly Edmonds City Limits to a point. 10.00 feet west of the westerly Edmonds City Limits; thence southwesterly 50.99 feet to a point 20.00 feet west of the westerly Edmonds City Limits; thence southerly parallel to the westerly Edmonds City Limits 60.00 feet; thence southeasterly 50.99 feet to a point 10.00 feet west of the westerly Edmonds City Limits; thence southerly parallel to the westerly Edmonds City Limits to its intersection with the south line of Lot 4, Westgate Park Division No. 2 as recorded in records of Snohomish County, Washington, said south line being the Edmonds City Limits; thence east along said south line. 10.00 feet; thence northerly along the westerly Edmonds City Limits to the Point of Beginning. A portion of 76th Avenue West Right -of -Way North of 180th Street S.W.. Parcel D: Beginning at the SE corner of Section 7, Township 27 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence westerly along the S line of said Section 7, 185.60 feet to the TPB; thence N 10 026100" East, 86.85 feet;. thence on a curve to the right which has a delta angle of 18115'26'° and a radius of 1050.00 feet, a distance of 344.58 feet; thence S 61 018134" East, 30.00 feet; thence on a curve to the left which has a delta angle of 18 °15'26" and a radius of 1020.00 feet, a distance of 325.02 feet; thence S 10 026'00" W, 81.33 feet; thence W 30.50' to the TPB; LESS that portion of right- of -way annexed by Ordinance No. 1259. A portion of 68th: Avenue West Parcel E: That portion of Section'5, Township 27 North, Range 4 E, W.M. being the westerly 5.00 feet of the Plat of the Firs as recorded in Volume 34 of Plats, Page 41, records of Snohomish County, Washington, said plat being a replat of Tract.38, Plat of Meadowdale Beach as recorded in Volume 5 of Plats, Page 38, records of Snohomish County, Washington TOGETHER with the westerly 5.00 feet of the northerly 10.00 feet of 160th Street S.W. right -of -way as conveyed to Snohomish County by deed recorded under Auditor's File No. 1756441 records of Snohomish County, Washington. Section 2. All persons who may desire to object to the proposed annexation herein mentioned are hereby notified to appear at City Council chambers at the Civic Center in the City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meeting of the said Council on the 4* day of January, 1976, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. of said day, then and there to present their objections thereto if any they have.
