A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING SNOHOMISH COUNTY TO PREPARE A PLAN FOR
THE CITY'S SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT FOR INCLUSION IN
• THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY PLAN.
WHEREAS, the State Solid Waste Management Act of 1969 (RCW 70.95)
requires each county within the state, in cooperation with the various
cities within the county, to prepare a coordinated comprehensive solid
waste management plan, and
WHEREAS, Snohomish County has been preparing a plan under the
WASH -USE -1 Study in coordination with the City, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds is a member of the Snohomish County Solid
Waste Steering Committee, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON:
A. That Snohomish County is hereby authorized to prepare for the City's
solid waste management for inclusion in the comprehensive county plan, and
B. That the plan when completed will be submitted to the City Council
for review, comment and approval.
RESOLVED this 16th day of April, 1974, by the City Council of the
City of Edmonds, Washington.
