A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, COMMENDING DONALD TUSON
FOR HIS SERVICES TO SAID CITY AND THE
CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community
award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered
by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, said DONALD TUSON was first sworn in as a council-
man of said City on June 20, 1950, and
WHEREAS, said DONALD TUSON has continuously since said date
served the City of Edmonds and its citizens up to the date of his
untimely demise on November 8, 1973, and
WHEREAS, during said period
as Mayor from December 17, 1963 to
unexpired term of his predecessor,
years as chairman of the Water and
Council, and as a member of the Au,
Council, and
of time said DONALD TUSON served
March of 1964 completing the
and served an excess of fifteen
Sewer Committee of the City
Sitting Committee of the City
WHEREAS, said DONALD TUSON was held in great esteem by those
members of the City Council with whom he served for over two decades
as evidenced by his selection as Mayor Pro `.hem fcr more than four-
teen years during the time of his service, and as further evidenced
by his appointment and service as a member and advisor to the Board
of Appeals for more than six years and the Park Board for more than
four years, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and the
officers and employees of said City, deem it only fitting that a
commendation should be issued herewith for the time and effort and
unwaivering and dedicated service by said DONALD TUSON for the
benefit of said City and its citizens that said commendation should
be made a part of the permanent records of said City of Edmonds,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that posthumously DONALD TUSON be hereby commended for
his unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens
thereof for his guidance for the future and better development of
said City and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the survivi:lg spouse of said DONALD TUSON and an
additional copy be entered in the permanent records of this City
in order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and
respect in which DONALD TUSON has been, and will in the minds of
those who have worked with him and known him be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 4th day of June, 1974.
