A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE .CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DIRECTING TRANSMITTAL
OF THE PROPOSED CITY OF EDMONDS SHORELINES
MANAGEMENT MASTER PROGRAM AND SHORELINE
INVENTORY AS APPROVED NOVEMBER 5, 1974, TO. THE
STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY.
WHEREAS, a Shorelines Management Citizens Advisory
Committee consisting of citizens of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, was appointed to study, inventory and recommend
a draft of a master program for shorelines management and
inventory the shorelines of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
and
WHEREAS, said committee, after meetings and public
hearings, has formulated and proposed a draft and revised said
draft for a master program for shorelines management and shore-
line inventory, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds, Washington, duly held, .pursuant to notice, a public
hearing and forwarded its recommendations together with the
committee's.recommendations as to the proposed shorelines
management master program and accompanying shoreline inventory
to the City: Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds
having held a public hearing on November 5, 1974, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE .CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City. of Edmonds shorelines
management draft master program, November 1, .1973 and accompanying
shoreline inventory as revised by the Citi.zeris Advisory Committee
May, ,1974 and as revised and approved by the City Council on
November 5, 1974, and the accompanying shoreline inventory should
forthwith be transmitted to the Washington State Department of
Ecology for review by said state agency pursuant to Chapter 286,
Laws of the State of Washington, 1971 1st Extraordinary Session.
Section 2. That in the event any of the environmental
designations and use regulations contained thereunder or any
.segment or portion thereof is declared to be invalid as to any
property affected by said designation or use regulations the
zoning in effect under the ordinances of the.City of Edmonds at
the time of adoption of said master program for shorelines
management-shall be deemed to be continuing in effect.
