Resolution 323RESOLUTION NO. 323 F RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, COMMENDING JOHN WINTERS FOR HIS SERVICE TO SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF. WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered by individual citizens, and WHEREAS, said JOHN WINTERS was elected to serve as a member of the Edmonds City Council in November of 1971, and commenced serving as of January, 1972, and has served as a City Councilman until the date of his resignation on November 23, 1974, and WHEREAS, said JOHN WINTERS was appointed by the members of the City Council to serve as an ex- officio member of the Edmonds Planning Commission, and WHEREAS, said JOHN WINTERS has been and is held in great esteem by those members of the City Council with whom he has served, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and effort and unwaivering and dedicated service by said JOHN WINTERS for the benefit of the City and its citizens and that said commenda- tion should be made 'a part of the permanent records of said City of Edmonds, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that said JOHN WINTERS be hereby commended for his unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens thereof and for his guidance for the future and better development of said City, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to said JOHN WINTERS and an additional copy be entered in the.permanent records of this City in order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect in which JOHN WINTERS has been, is, and will be held forevermore.
