A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE
SNOHOMISH COUNTY METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY
COUNTY -WIDE PUBLIC TRANSIT STUDY AND DIRECTING
THAT SAID CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN SAID STUDY
BE ON THE BASIS OF ONE-HALF IN MONEY AND ONE-
HALF IN IN-KIND SERVICES.
WHEREAS, there are grant monies available from the
Urban Mass Transportation Administration, and
WHEREAS, the cost of a county -wide study for Snohomish
County would require contribution from the various municipalities
and the County in the approximate sum of $23,333.00 to meet the
local share required for said matching funds, and
WHEREAS, when said sum is pro -rated on the basis of
population the City of Edmonds' share would be in the sum of
$2,980.16, and
WHEREAS, the health and general welfare of the public
will be served by said study, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Edmonds shall participate in the
Snohomish County Metropolitan Municipality County -Wide Public
Transit Study to the extent of $3,000.00 and that said sum be
provided one-half in-kind services and one-half in cash con-
