Resolution 1396,emu: 1396 A hesofution Of The Edmonds City Councif Thanking Counciffresident Tom 9V esaros for ifis Service To The Edmonds City Council Whereas, Tom 9Vesaros was elected as Council President on January 3, 2017 to serve a one-year term. During his tenure he presided over the business of the City Council with steadfast dedication, using his knowledge, experience, and expertise to manage the day-to-day administration of the City Council and to communicate with and embrace the concerns of Edmonds citizens, city staff, and other elected officials; and Whereas, during his term, Council President Mesaros approached his duties diligently — comprising himself of all the facts and ensuring that the Council as a body had all the relevant information needed to make informed decisions. As such, he helped to see the completion of the following: • setting weekly council meeting agendas and overseeing the 2017 Edmonds City Council Retreat • proposing the current council committee structure and schedule • unanimous approval of the Shoreline Master Program • Revamping the City Council Legislative/Executive Assistant staff position and leading the search for the new staff person • approval of the Highway 99 Subarea Plan • approval of the Civic Field Park Master Plan • SNOCOM/SNOPAC Consolidation creating Snohomish County 911 • Approval and Initiation of the Edmonds Marsh Baseline Study • Completion of the Edmonds Veteran's Plaza • Approval of the 2018 — 2023 Capital Facilities Plan and Capital Improvement Program • Approval of the 2018 Budget and; Whereas, while Council President, Mr. Mesaros was involved with the following committees and commissions on behalf of the City of Edmonds: • SNOCOM Board of Directors r • Edmonds Public Facilities District Board • SEA/SHORE Transportation Forum • The New Snohomish County 911 Interim Board Now, Therefore, oe it Resoked, that Tom �Wesaros be applauded and thanked for serving as Council President.
