Resolution 002 AR E S 0 L U T I 0r. A Resolution declaring the intention of the City Council of the City of Edmonds to improve the sea gate heretofore constructed by said City on the waterfront immediately South of the City limits of Edmonds, by extending the concrete pipe line leadir_g from said sea gate a distance of 300 feet towards deep water, also doing such re -planking and repairing of said sea gate and such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith to completely repair the same; also rebuilding the washed out portion of the dyke heretofore constructed in connection with said sea gate in a marrer similar to the original construction thereof with the ad- dition of ar extra layer of one inch matched lumber or, the inside of the outer wall of said dyke. Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Edmonds: Nb 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City CAlv of Edmonds to repair the sea gate heretofore constructed by said City on the Waterfrort near the South City limits of said City �.n y by exter_diro the concrete pipe line leading from said sea gate a distance of 300 feet toward deep water, also by doing such re- plarkirg ar,d such other work as may be necessary to completely repair said sea gate; also to rebuild the washed out portion of the dyke heretofore constructed in cornect;ion with said sea gate in a marrer similar to the original construction thereof with the addition of an extra layer of one inch matched lumber on the in- side of the outer wall of said dyke. + 2. That the payment for the improvement proposed in this �y esolutior shall be made in whole by special assessments. An enlarged local improvement district shall be established includ- ir�; as rear as may be all the property especially benefited by said improvement. The boundaries of said proposed enlarged lo- cal improvement district are as follows: Begirnirg at the meander corner between Sections 23 and 26, Township 27, l:orth, Range 3 East W.M., and running thence along the line between said Sections 23 and 26, S. 89 degrees 43 minutes ' 2310 feet, more or less, to the East 1-16th corner on said Section lime; thence along the 1-16th line, S. 0 degrees 24 ' minutes W. 546 feet; thence 1:;. 45 degrees 00 minutes E. 265.8 rt.; thence U. 4 degrees 43 minutes E.359 feet; thence E. 9 degrees �} 53 minutes E. 371 feet; thence 1. 17 degrees 53 minutes IV.464 0" feet; thence h. 0 degrees 24 minutes E. 190 feet, more or less, to the South margin of Dayton Street in the City of Edmonds; thence along said South margin 1. 89 degrees 43 minutes W. 921 feet; thence E. 59 degrees 18 minutes W. 240 feet; thence 1 • 38 degrees 33 minutes W. 140 feet, more or less, to the Government Meander lire; thence Southwesterly along said meander line to the point of begirr_ing. 187 It being the-intentior to include in said proposed enlarged local improvement district all that portion of the marsh or tide lands between the Eastern boundary thereof and the Government Meander line along the shore of Puget Sound and lying South of the South margin of Dayton Street and within the corporate limits of the City of Edmonds. zp 4 The amount of the cost and expense of such improvement to be assessed against that portion of the property within such proposed enlarged local improvement district lying between the termini of the proposed improvement and extending back from the marginal line - thereof such distance as would be equal to the middle of the block in the case of platted property, shall be the same as the rest of the property within the proposed enlarged local improvement dis- trict inproportion to area. The entire cost and expenses of the proposed improvement shall be distributed and assessed against all the property included in said proposed enlarged local improvement district in accordance with special benefits. 3. All persons who may desire to object to the improvement . herein proposed are hereby notified to appear at the Council Ch€�m- ' ber in the City Hall in the City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meet- ing of said City Council on the3rd day of March 1925, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., of said day, then and there to present their objections thereto, if any they have. The estimated cost and expenses of the proposed improvement to be distributed and assessed against all the property included in said proposed enlarged local improvement district is $3020.00. 5. The City Engineer of said City of Edmonds is hereby direct- ed to submit to the City Council or, or prior to said 3rd day of March, 1925, the estimated cost and expenses of the improvement i� this Resoluti�o�n entioned and a statement of the proportionate amount there5'f`�all be borne by the property within the proposed improvement district and a statement of the aggregate assessed valuation of the real estate, exclusive of improvements within said proposed enlarged improvement district according to the valu- ation last placed upon it for general taxes, together with a dia- gram or print showing thereon, the lots, tracts or parcels of land and other property which will be specially benefited thereby and the estimated amount of the costs and expenses of such improve - merit to be borne by each lot, tra,ot, parcel of land, or other pro- perty.
