Resolution 004Resolution No. 4 of the City of Edmonds, a Municipal Corporation A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Edmonds authorizing and directing the expenditure of the remaining cash balance in the Washington State Development Board Fund, Project No. 26-1-198. ViHEREAS the Washington State Development Board Project known as the Dayton Street Sewer Outfall Project has been completed and all bills paid, and WHEREAS thereremaine in said Fund known as W$DB Project No. 26-1-198 an unexpended cash balance in the amount of $23890.41 and WHEREAS it is for the general welfare, peace -and safety of all the in- habitants of the City of Edmonds that the garage and storage space of the Edmonds Water Department be improved by raising the said garage building approximately eighteen inches; by the construction of a concrete foundation and floor in said building; by the painting and general re— repair of said building by the making of all other incidental repairs so.as to effect a complete improvement, and WHEREAS the estimated cost of the improvement hereinabove mentioned is in the approximate amount of $3,000.00 and VI(I=AS it is for the interest of all the people in Edmonds that the funds remaining unexpended in WSDB Project No. 26-1-198 be used for the purpose of making the above mentioned improvement, NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THEE CITY OF EDMONDS: Section 1. That the unexpended funds in the Washington State Develop- ment Board Project Fund No. 26819198, also known as the dayton street Sewer Outfall Project, be expended under the direction of the City Council of the City of Edmonds and with the approval of the State Finance Committee of the State of Washington, for the following purposes, to wit: (a) For the purpose of improving the garage and storage space of the Water Department of the City of Edmonds by the raising of the garage building approximately eighteen inches; by the construction of a concrete foundation and floor in said building; by painting and repairing said building and by the doing of such work as to effect a complete improvement. Section 2. That the estimated cost of the project hereinabove set forth is in the amount of $3,000.00 and that the $2,890.41, remaining in WSDB Project No. 26-1-198 fund should be expended for the purpose of making the foregoing improvement. Section 3. That the work in order to effect said improvement should be done on a local day labor basis under the direction of a capable construction foreman of the City of Edmonds, and of the City Council of the City or Edmonds. Section 4; That the doing of the work hereinabove mentioned and the completion of the project hereinabove set forth is for the general welfare, peace and safety of all of the inhabitants of the City of Edmonds.
