A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
to improve the alley in Blocks 77
and 68, Plat of the CIty of Edmonds, from a point twenty-seven
(27) feet West of Ninth Street to a point two hundred severity
(270) feet East of Ninth Street, in said City, by the •con-
structib.,_ of & six Lnch lateral sanitary and storm sewer,,
together ti ith the rLecessa-ry drainage, man -holes, catch basins
anu other alr)purtena ,ces ,necessary to make € compplete Lnprove-
',.L.t; creating an &ssessment District; creatirg a Local
Improvement District r'und therefor; providing that the payment
of one-half of the cost of said improvement be made out of the
Genelel r'und of the Oity of Edmonds and that the payment for
the reamining one-half of said improvement be made by Special
,L.ssessment on the property in sL.id District under the mode of j
payment by Bonds.
BE IT R SOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Or' THE: CITY Od FD:iO."DS:
1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Edm:;rds, State of Washington, to improve the alley in
Blocks 77 and 66, 2lat of the City of Edmonds, from a point
twenty -sever, (27) feet ,lest of 1,'irth Street to a. point two
hundred seventy(270) feet East of ninth Street, in said city,
by the construction of a six inch lateral sanitary and storm
sewer, together with the necessary drainage, man -Holes, catch
b€+.sins and other appurtenances necessary to make a complete
improvement;.
2. That one-half of the cost and expense of all labor and
material required to make a complete improvement, the fixed
estimate and- all other expenses of every kind shall be made
out of- the General r'und of the City of Edmo.r'ds, and the re-
maining one-half of such cost and expense shall be made by
Special Lssessment; a Local Improvement District shall be
established. embracing, as near as may be, all the property
specially benefited by such iml)rover_.ert, and such specially
benefited property shall be as_;essed to pay for one-half of
the entire cost of such improvment. . '-1

herein mentioned are hereby notified to a-ppear at the Oouncil
Cha.nbers in the City Ball, in the City of Ldmonds, 1"ieshington,
at a kueetili.g of the said Council on the 5th day of December,
1944' at the hour of eight o'clock 2. ,d. of said day, then
and there to present their objectio..:Es thereto, if any they have.
4. The City Engineer of said City of Ldmoz.ds is hereby directed
to submit to the City Courcil, at or prior to said 5th day of
December, 1944, the estimated cost and expense of the improve-
ment, it this resolution mentioned, and a statement or the
proportionate amount thereof which shall be borne by the
property within the proposed Improvement District; and a

statement of the aggregate assessed valuation of the real
estate, exclusive of improvement§, within said proposed
Improvement District according to the valuation last placed
upon it for general taxation, together with a diagram or
print showing thereon the lots, tracts, or parcels of land and
other property which will be specially benefited thereby,
and the estimated amount of the cost and expense of such
improvement.to be borne by each lot, tract, parcel of land or
other property.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Edmonds this 7th
day of November, 1944, and approved the same date.
