Ordinance 00152, ORDINANCE f40. 15. �.. &n Ordinance fixing the salary and duties of certain officers in and for the Town of Edmonds, Snohomish County, State of Wash- l4 iagton. Be it ordained by the Council of the Town of Edmonds. diR SECTION 1: That for the year 1892 the salaries and duties of the Town Clerk, City Attorney, Marshal, Superintendent of Streets, Treasurer and Civil Engineer, shall be as follows. SECTION 2: The Town Clerk for the Town of Edmonds, for the year 1892, shall, in addition to holding said office of Clerk, �1 and performing the duties thereof, also be Town Assessor for the Town of Edmonds, and shall perform all the duties of such Assessor, as have been heretofore,and may herafter be,prescribed. SECTION 3: The said Assessor shall make out and complete an assessment list for all street work which shall be ordered by the Council of the Town of Edmonds, in accordance with Ordinance No.10 of the Town of Edmonds. And all assessment rolls,when completed, shall, by said Assessor, be filed vvith the Clerk of said Town of Edmonds. SECTION 4: The Town Clerk of the Town of Edmonds, for the year 1892, shall perform all duties prescribed by lave and by the Ordinances of said Town of Edmonds. SECTION 5: The Town Clerk shall receive as full compensation &&Z' i for the duties as Town Clerk the sum of six ( 57 dollars per ti"4 � month, to be paid quarterly; and as a fall compensation for his , duties as Assessor he shall be paid twenty ($20) dollars perannum to be paid upon the completion of the annual assessment --of the Town of Edmonds. SECTION 6: That the duties and compensation of the Treasurer shall be those prescribed by law. SECTION 7: That the duties and compensation of the Marshal shall be those prescribed by law. SECTION 8: That the duties of the Superintendent of Streets shall be those authorized by the Council; end he shall receive as a compensation for his work two and 50/100 ($2.50) dollars per day, when ordered to work by the Council, to be paid monthly. SECTION 9: That the duties of the City Attorney shall be L�t� those prescribed by law, and that in addition he shall attend all regular meetings of the Council, And give advice to the council, when requested. He shall receive compensation for his work of twenty ($20) dollars per month, to be paid monthly. SECTION 10: That the duties of the Civil Engineer shall be those authorized by the Council; and he shall receive as a compen- sation for his work five ( 5.00 ) dollars per day, when ordered to work by the Council, to be paid monthly. SECTION 11: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its approval and publication. gassed by the common Council of the Town of Edmonds this 19th day of January 1892.
