An Ordinance vacating all of Block 130, together with a portion
of Daley Street, plat of the City of Edmonds.
Whereas, George Brackett and Etta E. Brackett, did petition the
Council of the Town of Edmonds for the vacation{ of lots 18, 19, 20, PAIIIC l o
21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 in Block 130; and that part Of
Daley Street lying West of the Section lire dividing Government Lot
2 in Sectior_ 23, Township 27, N:orth Range 3 East A.M. together with �.
other property, and all being in the plat of theCity of Edmonds it
the Town of Edmonds, Snohomish County, State of Washington; and
Whereas: said George Brackett and Etta E. Brackett as, and .,t'q—)1'&7j
claiming to be the owners of all the property abutting upon that to--
tion of Daley Street sought to be vacated, have sigred said petition;
and
Whereas: All the lots it said Block 130,ard all that portion of
Daley Street which is hereby vacated,were included in the Plat of
the City of Edmonds at the time said Plat was made and executed, un-
known to said petitioners and without their intention or consent,
and against their wishes; and
Whereas, said petition was duly filed with the Clerk of said �*i , a
Town of Edmonds, and due and sufficient legal notices of the time
and place set for the hearing of said petition before said Council,
were duly and regularly given and posted for the full legal time:
and
Whereas: All the Lots in said Block 130 and all that portion
of Daley Street are -hereby vacated, were fenced and occupied by
said.petitioners, constituting a marriage community, as a portion
of their homestead at and prior to the making and acknowledging of
said Plat, and have been so occupied by them continuously since
that time, and
Ihereas: all the taxes and assessments against said properties
have been cancelled and satisfied.
flow, therefore, be it ordained by the Town of Edmords.
First: That Lots 18, 19, 20,21, 22, 23,24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and
in Block 130, Plat of the City of Edmonds, be and the same are
hereby vacated, and also that portion of Daley Street in said Plat
described as follows:
Begirring at the point on the Northerly line of Edmonds Street r
Plat of the original Town of Edmonds, where the Westerly line of
Third Street it said origiral Town of Edmonds intersects said r;orth
erly lire of Edmonds Street; thence Fortherly along said Westerly
line of Third Street produced to its intersection with the South
line of said Block 130; thence West along said South line of said
Block 130 to its intersection with the Northerly line of Edmonds
Street; thence Easterly along said Northerly line of said Edmonds
Street to poir_t of beginning; same being in the. form of a triangle.
This. Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and doa.&Ar
after its passage and approval, if approved by the Mayor, othe Ise
it shall take effect at the time it shall become a law under the
laws of the State of Washington.
Passed the Uourcil May 20, 1903, and signed by me in open
