Ordinance 0198ORDINALCE 10. 198. Ar Ordirance providing Harbor regulations, -providing for the t? appoirtmert of a Harbor Master and prescribing his duties, within the City of Edmonds, Aashingtom. The City Oourcil of the City of Edmonds do ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Vessels must not be moved or anchored in the Harbor of Edmonds, or the waters of Puget Sound within the limits of said City of Edmonds, State of Washington, in such a manner as to inter- fJIVV" ere with vessels approaching or leaving wharves or docks. SECTIOL 2: ,:hen it shall be necessary to make room for vessels e �`y oziring immeiiate accommodation, idle vessels must maul or go to anchor at the expense of such vessels, when required to do so by the Harbor `;aster. A vessel anchored in the Harbor having a tow must not be anchored ar. such manner as that the tow shall inter - NO, fere with vessels approaching or leaving wharves or docks. If it becomes recessary, in the opir:ior of the Harbor Master, a vessel may be removed by him at the expense of the owner of such vessel, erd the vessel shall be liub?e for all damages that shall arise thereby. D''' SECTIU 3: The Master, Agent or owner of a vessel refusing or � �reJpertair-ing glecting to obey the order of the Harbor Master in any manner Y;'_ to the regulation of the Harbor or the waters of Puget Bound lying within the limits of the City of Edmonds, or if such Master, Agent or owner shall violate any of the provisions of this 107 Ordinance, he shall be gailty,of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine of not less than T-en ($10.00) Dollars nor more than One Hundred ( 100.00) Dollars, ar may be im- prisoned not to exceed thirty (30) days. SECTION 4: That there be and hereby is created the office of � ,"" Harbor Master whose duties shall be to enforce the Drovisions of this Ordinance and perform such other duties as may be provided by the City Council. Upon the taking effect of this Ordinance the Mayor shall appoint a Harbor Master to hold office during the pleasure of the Mayor. Such Harbor Master shall receive such com- pensation as may, from time to time, be fixed by the Council. Passed and approved this second day of December 1909. Published December 4th „ 1909.
