"J An Ordinance regulating the use and occupation of and the con-
i r_ uct of persons in and upon the sidewalks, footpaths and park paths,
�1.1r the City of Edmonds, Washington, and providing for the comfort,
,IVconvenience and safety of the public in the use of the same, and
providing penalties for violations thereof.
The City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington, do ordain
as follows:
SECTION It/ That it shall be unlawful for any person or persons
la ride a bicycle, tricycle or roller skates, on 'or over the side-
walks, foot paths and park paths in the City of'E/dmonds, Washington.
SECTION 2: It shall be unlawful for any person to ride,drive
-qor lead any animal, or move or propel any autoeyele or automobile,
,-J carriage or other vehicle whatsoever, except light carriages and
L vehicles for the conveyance of children, invalids and enfeebled
persons on, along or over any sidewalk, foot path or park path in
the (;� ity of Edmonds, Washington, unless for the purpose of neces-
sarily crossing the same, or to cross any sidewalk, foot path or
park path with any such animal or vehicle, without effectually
protecting such side�ralk, foot path or park path by planks or
similar device, or to allow any such animal or vehicle to stand on
any sidewalk, or to sa:�, cut, or split wood or lumber, or break
rock or stone or do µry other act upon any sidewalk which shall

obstruct the passage of pedestrians along and over the same.
��?2ECT203: Any person who shall violate or fail to eomply��
with any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor; and upon conviction thereof shall be
punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollarf-14"
($100.00), or by imprisonment in the City jail for a term not
exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprison-
ment, and each day any person shall continue to violate or fail
to comply with any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be
deemed and considered a separate offense.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force by virtue
of its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
