An Ordinance establishing fire limits within the City of Edmonds and regulating the erection,alteration, repair, and removal of build- ings within the sane and providing a penalty for the violation thereof. The City Council of the City of Edmonds does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That all property situate and located within the hereinafter described limits ar_dd, boundaries within the City of Ed- monde shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be, and is,es- tablished as a fire limit building district. That the limits and boundaries of said distract shall be as follows: Beginning at the East property line of Third Street and running thence East to a point one hundred and twenty (120) feet East of the East property line of Fifth Street and extending back one hundred and twenty (120) feet forth and South respectively from the North and South side property lines of Geo-ge 6treet. s SECTION 2: Vo building, except brick or stone, brick and stone. brick and terra cotta, or concrete or iron constructed buildings j shall be erected, placed, or constructed within the above described �� district; and no wooden building shall be repaired or altered within said described district except by writter permission from the build- ing Committee of the City Council. The term "brick", "brick or Stone", "brick and stone", *]ad "concrete" shall be construed to mean all buildings whose sidewalk or walls are constructed of stone, brick, or both and concrete and wood veneered with brick, shone or concrete. SECTION 3: No wooden buildings, now situate within the above �/✓��' " described district shall be raised or lowered or moved to any other &irt or location within said district without the written permission 160 of the building Committee of the City Council. SECTIOI, 4: Any person or corporation, whether owner,contrac- �] or, agent or builder, or any other person who shall violate any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding one hundred ($100.00) dollars. SECTION 5: Amy building, or any addition to any building,con- t 'trueted contrary to the provisions and terms of this Ordinance shall be deemed a nuisance and may be abated as such by the proper 21 officers of the City of Edmonds in accordance with Ordinance and laws governing such cases. SECTION 6: Ordinance No.176 of the City of Edmonds enacted on the 18th day of February 1909, and all other Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
