Ar. Ordirarce ordering the improvement of the Alley running
throe h Block "H" from Yourth Street to Sixth Street, also Fourth
Stree from Edmonds Street to alley in Block "H" in the City of
Edm.ords, Washington, by constructing thereon a lateral sewer
system; also by constructing thereor inlets, catch basins, mar -
holes, lamp -holes, and doing such other work as may be necessary
it correctior therewith, all it accordance with, and pursuant to,
Resolution of Intertion jo.36, passed by the City Council of the
City of Edmonds or. the Sixth day of December, 1921; creating a
Local Improvemert district for said improvement and providing
that the payment therefor shell be by the payment byBond plan:
BE IT ORDAII:ED by the City Council of the City of Edmords,
Washington, as follows:
SECTI01 1: That the Alley running through Block "H",fr'om
Fourth Street to Sixth Street, also Fourth Street from Edmonds
Street to alley in Block "H", it the City of Edmonds, Washingtor,
be improved by cor:structirg thereon a lateral sewer system; also
by cor_structirg thereor inlets, catch-basirs, mar -holes, lamp -
holes, and by doing such other work as may be necessary in cor-
rection therewith, it accordar.•ce with plans and specifications
now on file it the office of the City Clerk of the City of Edmonds,
and pursuant to Resolution of Intention roe 36, passed by the City
Council of the City of Edmonds, or the Sixth day of December,1921.
1. SECTI01 2: That said improvement will be made along and in
front of the followi36g described property which will be effected
by said improvemert and which will be included within the im-
provement district herein created and limited to such property
for the purpose of aisessmert as hereirafter provided,towit:

Edmonds.
All
of
the abovo property
being situated and lying within
the City
of
Edmonds, Srohomish
County, State of Washingtor.
SECTI01 3: That the cost of said improvement on said alley
and Street shall be assessed against the property above described
and against all Lots, Tracts, and parcels of property.lyirg and
beirg within the improvement district hereinafter created it
proportion to the benefits derived therefrom as provided by the
Ordirarce of the City of Edmonds and the laws of the State of
Washingtor.
SECTION 4: That the mode of paymert shall be under the "pay-
mert by BordrJ"play= by which plan 3ords of said district shall be
issued payable in ten (10) equal arrual payments or installmerts

with interest at the rate of eight percent. (8%) per arum.
SECTIOL 5: That the estimated cost of said improvement is
the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-eight ar_d 50/100
($1,278.50)Dollars.
SECTIOF 6: That there is hereby created a Local Improve-
ment District to be designated and known as "Local Improvement
District r o.30" which shall include all the property hereirbe-
fore described.
SECTI0L 7: That there is hereby created a Local Improve-
ment Fund to -be known and desigrated as "Local Improvement Dis-
triot Fund ro.30".
SECTIOE 8: That said improvement shall be made under the
direction of the City Council and the City Engineer and in ac-
oordane a with the plans and specifications now on file with the
City Clerk of the City of Edmonds.
SECTION 9: The Bonds to be issued as hereirlbefore provided
may be delivered and sold to the Contractor doing the work of
such improvement in payment of his services or they may be sold
by the City Clerk at private sale, provided, however, that the
returns from the sale of said Bonds must net the par value of the
same plus accrued interest and the proceeds thereof sha1Z be -ap-
plied in payment of the costs and expenses of said improvement.
SECTI011 10: That the special assessments to be levied, as
hereinbefore described, shall be payable in ten (10) equal snrual
installments with interest at the rate of eight per oent. (8%)
per arum, and each installments shall be collected in the manner
provided by the gereral Ordinanoes of of the City -Of Edmonds, and
the laws Of the State of Washington.
SECTION 11: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after its passage -by the City Council
of'the City -of Edmonds, its approval by the 1dayor and its-
publica-tion acoordirg to law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Edmonds in regular
session, this Seventh day of February, 1922, and approved by me
on the same date.
