Ordinance 0338347 ORDIHAECE B 0. 338 (L. I . D. 33 ) An Ordinance ordering the improvement of Sixth Street in the City of Edmor_ds, Washington, from the Earth property line of the High School Tract to the South lire_ of Walnut Street in said City by constructing along the West side of said Sixth Street between the limits above mentioned, a five-foot concrete sidewalk, and concrete cross -walks, and by doing the reoessary grading, drain- ing and other work necessary in connection therewith, in accord- arce with and pursuant -to Resolution. of Intention Lo.42 passed by the City Council of the City of Edmonds on the seventeenth day of October, 1922. Be it ordaired by the City Council of the City of Edmonds: SECTIOE 1: That dixth Street in the City of Edmonds, Sno- homish County, Washington, from the Larth line of the High School Tract to the South property lime of Walnut Street be improved by constructing along the West side of said Sixth Street, between the limits above mentioned, a five-foot concrete sidewalk, and concrete cross -walks, and by doing the grading, draining and other work necessary in connection therewith, in accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Edmonds, said plans and specifications having been approved by the City Council of the, City of Edmonds on the Fourteerth day of l ovember, 1922, ard,.pursuant to Resolu- tion of Intention E o. 42, passed by the City Council of the City of Edmonds on the Seventeenth -day of October, 1922. SECTIOg t: That said improvement will be made along and in front of the following described property abutting on the West side of Sixth Street, which will be effected by said improve- mert and which will be included within the improvemert district herein created and limited.to such property for the purpose of assessment as hereinafter provided,towit: East Half High 4chool Tract, Lots 11 to 30, Block 120,P1at of the City of Edmonds. Lots 11 to 30, Block 121, Plat of the City of Edmonds. Lots 11 to 30, Block 122, Plat of the City of Edmonds. Lots 11 to 30, Block 123, Plat of the City of Edmonds. Lots 6 to 18, Block "H", Plat of the City of Edmonds. Lots 4 to 8, Block "G", Plat of the City of Edmonds. Lots 4 to 8, Block "F", Plat of the City of Edmonds. Lots 5 to 13, Block "ETl, Plat of the City of Edmonds. Lots 8 to 23, Block "DD", Plat of the City of Edmonds. All of the above property being situated and lying within the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washingtonq SECTIOE, 3: That the cost of said improvement on said Sixth Street shall be assessed against the property above described, and against all lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and being within the improvement district hereinafter created in propor- tion to the berefits derived therefrom as provided by the Ordi- nanees of the City of Edmonds, and the laws of the +Mate of Washingtor. SECTI01 4: That the mode of payment shall be by the "Pay- ,ment by Bond" plan, by which plan Bonds of said District shall be issued payable in ter (10) equ.l annual installments with interest thereon at the rate of seven -percent. (7%) per, azzuid, SECTZOZ? 5: That the estimated cost of said improvement is the sum of four thousand four hurdred eight and seventy-five one -hundredths, ($4408.75)dollars. SECTIOF 6: That there is hereby created a local improvement district to be known as "Local Improvement District %o.33" which shall include all of the property hereinafter described. SECTIO11 7: That there be and is hereby created a local im- provement fund to be knowr as "Local Improvement 2und L o.33." 348 SECTIOP 8: That said improvemert shall be made under the direetior of the City Engineer and in accordance with the plans and specifications now or file with the City Clerk of the City of Edmonds. SECTION 9: The Bonds to be issued as hereinbefore provided may be delivered and sold to the Contractor doing the work of such improvement in payment of his services or they may be sold by the City Clerk at private sale, provided, however, that the returns from the sale of said Bonds must net the par value of the same plus accrued irterest and the proceeds thereof shall be applied in payment of the costs and expenses of said improve- ment. SECTIOI 10: That the epeoial aseessmert s to be levied as hereirbefore described shall be payable iz ter (10) equal annual irstallmerate with interest at the rate of seven (7%) percent.per arum, and such installments shall be collected in the mariner provided by the City Ordinances and the Sbate Laws. SECTION 10a: That the cost of the cross walk at Edmonds Street in excess of sixty (60) feet shall be charged against the gereral ford of the City of Edmonds. SECTI0V 11: This Ordirance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Edmonds, its approval by the Mayor, and its publi- cation according to law.
