An Ordinance of the City of Edmonds, granting to the Great T',orthern Railway Company, a corporation, its successors and assigm r the right, privilege and authority to construct, mairtair and oper- ate a track of standard gauge railway, together with all needful crossovers and corrections between said track ard ary other tracks adjacent thereto over and across Daytor. Street in the City of Ed- monds, and granting unto said Railway Company, its successors and assigns, the right of way therefor. Be it ordaired by the Council of the City of Edmonds. SECTION 1: The City of Edmonds does hereby grant to the Great F orthern Railway Company, a corporation, and to its suc- cessors and assigns, in perpetuity, the right, privilege and author- ity to construct, mairtain and operate a track of standard gauge railway, together with all needful crossovers and connections bet- ween said track and any other tracks adjacent thereto, over and a- cross Dayton Street in the City of Edmonds, together with a right of way therefor fifteen (15) feet wide, being seven and five -tenths (7.5) feet wide on each side of the following describe4 center line: Co-mmencing at the intersection of the center line of the North bound main track of the Railway of the Great Northerr_ Railway Com- pany with the Forth boundary of Government Lot 3 of Section 23, c�,� G Township 27 Forth, Range 3 East, Willamette Meridiar_, said inter- �" section being 369.84 feet east of the meander line along the west boundary of said Government Lot 3 measured alor_,g said 1 or•th boun- dary, thence Southwesterly along said certer lire of L orthbour_A track on a tangent (making a Southwesterly included angle of 48 degrees 18 minutes with said Forth boundary) a distance of 154.25 feet, thence along a 5 degree 00 minute curve to the left 182.97 feet to the north boundary of Dayton Street and the true point of begir_ring of this description, thence continuing along said 5 de- grees 00 minutes curve to the left 60.01 feet to a point or, the South boundary of Dayton Street and the erL of this description. SECTION 2: The said -grantee, its successors and assigrss, inrIA/ the operation of the tracks authorized by this Ordir:ar_ce, shall have the right to use steam power or ary other motive power that it or they may deem suitable, subject to the reasor_able control and regulation of the Gitv of Edmor_ds. SECTION 3: The Franchise and right of way hereby granted, and all the rights, privileges and authorities granted by this Ordirance, shall be assigrable by said grantee, its successors assigrs , as it or they may at any time see fit.
